Directions for Installation/Startup

Installation Instructions

You are about to download a file (TS_R4_0.exe) of size 17 MB. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, the file download may take 20 minutes using a cable modem or as long as 2+ hours using a 56K dial-up modem. Please be patient.

1.We recommend you first PRINT out this page for easy review during the installation process.
2.To download TS_R4_0.exe, simply click the following link: TS_R4_0.exe
3.CLick on TS_R4_0.exe. You will be asked to either open the file from its current location or Save to disk. Select the Save to disk option and click OK.
4.Save TS_R4_0.exe to the Desktop.

5.You must now SHUT DOWN all applications that are running on your computer PRIOR to running the installation process. This includes your browser, Microsoft office products, e-mail, etc. Failure to shut down all application can cause errors in the installation process.
6.Once successful in downloading TS_R4_0.exe to your Desktop, run the installation process by double clicking on the TS_R4_0.exe icon on you desktop. The installation process will begin. You may have to reboot your machine at the end of the installation. You will be asked to do so if necessary.
7.When you reboot your computer, Windows will update your system files. This process can take several minutes to complete, so please be patient.

Upgrade Instructions

If you are upgrading from TradeSeeker version 3.0 or 3.1, we recommend that you uninstall your TradeSeeker 3.0 program before installing the 4.0 version of the software. Once you install version 4.0, you will need to review and update your Preferences selections.

To start the TradeSeeker program

1.Press the Windows "Start" button.
2.Go to "Programs"
3.Go to "TradeSeeker" to start the program.

Version 4.0 Changes

1) Introduces an "Auto-hide" feature to free up screen real estate, if desired.
2) Allows to the user to auto-process certain actions after a new alert is received. User can specify time delay before action is processed.

a) Auto-acknowledge alert
b) Auto-speak alert
c) Auto-link alert to Real Tick 3 trading platform
d) etc.

3) Changes the "Select Scan" menuing into more groupings, making scan identification and selection more easy.
4) Introduces the ability to have the alert bar "float" and not be restricted to a single edge of the screen
5) Allows users to configure their alert bar with multiple rows of alerts, if desired
6) Numerous other small, or hidden, improvements.
