Version 5.0.1 of the TradeSeeker will allow the TradeSeeker to link alert and scan results directly into the Trade Center or the Star Trader software when configured to do so. The Trade Center or Star Trader Software will create a new portfolio tab titled "TradeSeeker" and populate it with the TradeSeeker results when linked.
ATTENTION: The direct linking function of the TradeSeeker version 5.0.1 will only work with versions 5.1.12 (or higher) of the Trade Center or Star Trader.
TradeSeeker installation instructions:
There are two ways to install the latest TradeSeeker software:
- If you already have the TradeSeeker installed, please use the Update Instructions (below), or
- If you have never before installed the TradeSeeker, use the Fresh Install Instructions (below).
Update Instructions (Use ONLY if you have already installed the TradeSeeker previously)
- Download the version 5.0.1 update to the TradeSeeker by clicking the link below:

Please remember where you have saved this file to install later. We suggest saving it to your Windows desktop.
Double click the file you have just downloaded to install the update to your TradeSeeker.
Fresh Install Instructions (or complete re-installation)

Please remember where you have saved this file to install later. We suggest saving it to your Windows desk top. Skip to #3 if you have NEVER installed the TradeSeeker software before on this computer.
Make sure you are not running the TradeSeeker and uninstall your current version by going to your Control Panel and selecting Add or Remove Programs and then uninstalling the TradeSeeker.
Click "Yes" to remove all previous files associated with the TradeSeeker as they will all be reinstalled with the new version as necessary.
Open the file you downloaded to install the beta version of the TradeSeeker.
Linking of the Trade Seeker and Trade Center or StarTrader
Launch the TradeSeeker and right click on the grey bar and left click on Preferences. Select the "Link" tab across the top of the Preferences window and select to link to the Trade Center or Star Trader , then select OK at the bottom of the Preferences window.
If you now link an alert from the grey bar of the TradeSeeker or if you select a scan it will create a new portfolio in the Trade Center or Star Trader and populate it with the tickers you have linked rather than displaying the scan results in a pop-up window on your desktop.
Scans results that are linked to the Trade Center or Star Trader will be within a folder titled with the scan's name. If you link multiple scans, each will create a folder titled with that scan's name within the TradeSeeker tab. |
